Terms of Trade

Our payment terms are very safe and secure ,50% by bank to bank transfer after signing formal contract and issue of proforma invoice, and 50% balance payment when goods  arrive destination port with all original shipping documents.
Contract and PI signing which will be use to cover the below cost ;

– buying of packing and labeling materials
– packaging,
– local transportation
– Paying of Inspection and Insurance charges
– Paying of sea freight charges

More so, where the vendor has terms and conditions surrounding the purchasing of goods, these are to be submitted to the Wholesale Merchandise Manager for approval and are to meet the requirements of the Grain & Agro Products.

These terms are usually relative to discounts being offered for purchasing volumes and other criteria. There may also be terms that are specific to respective banner groups, often referred to as “Daily Terms” or “Site Group Trading Terms”.

The Grain & Agro Products has established a coordinator at Grain & Agro Products Own Brands to facilitate the disclosure of vendors proposed terms of trade to ensure their transparency, and other key policies are met before being approved. Contact should be made with the Commercial Manager.

FOODSTUFFS TRADE TERMS
Grain & Agro Products have co-ordinates a single approach to the management, negotiation and confirmation of National Trade Terms. This activity is centrally co-ordinates through Grain & Agro Products. Own Brands on behalf of the wider Foodstuffs’ Group.

The Trade Terms process is underpinned by a philosophy of equity and transparency in the trading relationship. Terms of Trade should encourage Grain & Agro Products to operate in the most effective and efficient manner that results in a mutually beneficial ongoing trading relationship.

The process commences with the completion of the standard Grain & Agro Products Confirmation of Supply Terms document which seeks full disclosure of both fixed Terms of Trade and variable Promotional Trade Spend. Additionally, the document requests some key assurances for the future.

Once the document is completed, depending on whether it is a branded Retail or General Merchandise product, it should be sent to either the Grain & Agro Products Own Brands  Commercial Manager or National General Merchandise Manager who will work with you to finalize the Terms of Trade.
